Suggestions for repairing an impacted tone pot on a semi-hollow?
I’ve got a D’angelico semi-hollow electric that’s took a hit to one of the pots, breaking some wood and pushing the pot into the body.
Not sure on the fix for this and can’t find anything online, all suggestions welcome!
Thinking of mounting an acrylic disk around the area to attach a long shaft pot to

Jeremy Pappenfus started the discussion Classical intonation puzzler. in the forum Acoustic Repair 4 months ago
I have a Yamaha Classical on my bench that’s giving me a run for my money with a mystery intonation issue. All but the B string are perfectly intonated with the usual compensations we see. The B string however is almost an entire 1/2 step off (sharp) at the 12th. Right from the get go the scale starts going sharp incrementally at every fret. I…

I was asked to turn this Fender American Natural Strat into a hard-tail. It would have taken a good while to finish this plug without LED Coatings. I used SM Colortone H2O base grain filler colored with MIxol Ochre; sanded it flat an hour later, then put on a finish with LED Clear Gloss colored with Colortone Stains (Straw, Light Yellow, and…

Need advice on my first repair job
I would really appreciate some advice on this repair that I need to do. I’ve built a number of (classical) guitars so far, but this is my first repair job. I have already set the expectations with the customer that I can probably fix it structurally but the repair will be visible. The guitar is modestly priced and of no historical significance…

HEy Folks, Just wondered if anyone had a source for a 4-inlay SJ200 bridge? I have a 52/53′ in for restoration, and…well… I like replacements better than making them if I can help it, especially this mustashio’d monster!

Fender Tele Deeper Black Colour?
Hey all!
Anyone know what lacquer pigment might better match the deep black colour of this tele body? It’s an American tele deluxe with a nitro finish.
Photos show: Finish damage was the size of a quarter. I’ve filled and levelled the area and sprayed on coat of Oxford black nitro. I poured a puddle of naphtha on to check the match and…

Strange Fender neck with some problems.
Hello fellow looths!
I recently had a customer come in with a ’71 Fender neck that is a fusion of the 60s and 70s style. It has a veneer fretboard, no skunkstripe, 4 screwholes, 70s style tuners, 70s headstock logo, and it seems like it has a poly finish on the back of the neck, and nitro (with cracking) on the front of the headstock. Can…
