Hey all!! First time caller here

I just received the creality printer i ordered and while im enjoying printing some cool designs off, im trying to find the best, but simple and affordable software to use to create my own designs. What is every one using?

I’d recommend looking at OnShape. There is a full free version (files are shared with the community) and there are many Youtube tutorials.

I am using blender here. I would highly recommend this tutorial series to learn it https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL3GeP3YLZn5hhfaGRSmRia0OwPPMfJu0V

and then I would do their game console tutorial. I would then look at artisans of vaul and blender bros videos.

I would also highly recommend getting at least the machinetools addon and if you can spring for a bit more the meshmachine and the hardops/boxcutter plugin

Im dual wielding Fusion 360 and Blender. My wife is an educator, so I get the personal license with fewer headaches.

I’ve been using the free versions of OnShape and Fusion 360. Both are great, though the learning curve has been a little steep, because I had almost no experience when I started. I’m probably more comfortable with Fusion 360 at this point, but that’s not saying much.

Blenders on the wish list to learn, but I focused on parametric (perimeter driven) CAD first.
