Currently considering getting a Phrozen Sonic Mighty for doing some small parts manufacture and was wondering if any of y’all looths are doing any resin printing currently. I’m looking for any tips, tricks, or advice before jumping in. Are there better printers i should be considering? Is there anything I should just full on avoid? How have y’alls resin printing experiences been?

  • J. Roadman has a resin printer, not sure which one but it makes some really defined parts. Kinda stinky, sticky and messy. He would be able to give you some insight…

My experience is very limited but it is a really amazing technology. @JerameEdwards is a much better resource than I am.

    Hey Robin!

I’ve got a ton of experience with resin printing. What are your goals? What’s the largest size print you think you will make? I don’t recommend getting a large vat. The smaller the footprint the better. That also generally correlates to better pixel density. Be aware that the resin prints WILL shrink. Thinner components can warp. I’ve had great luck with Phrozen equipment, especially paired with their resin.
