    4. Ugly seam repair and touch-up
    5. A blodge. See also bottom of photo. Weird binding repair. White plastic, black plastic and some brown filler
    6. More binding repair. Gluey gunk, general horror.

I mean, to me, it’s just the back of the guitar and who gives a shit, but some people care, apparently. How would YOU approach this. He has (some) money and (some) time.

Well, potentially £££ but not totally sure I want to get into it. But maybe I do. If he’s willing to chuck thousands at me.

I shoved the endoscope in, and the back lining, neck and heel blocks are SWAMPED in brown glue. I guess someone went in to repair the neck block etc., and everything went terrible after that.

Assuming, I don’t take the back off: how am I going to tackle that binding? He (rightly) has a big issue. But I guess when the back was off last time they fucked up and the sides are flared out a bit so there’s this enormous gap to fill now.

I guess the other problem (they are stacking up) is that when they had the back off, they’ve slightly botched the neck angle. They’ve sort of done of the opposite of slipping the block.
