Bent tuner

    Hey Doug,

    Its probably no the most helpful answer but here is what I did. I restored an old 30’s Gibson L-00 with a badly bent tuner. I added some leather to the jaws on the stew mac nut and saddle vise and tightened the bent stem in the vise to flatten it. I did have to remove the button to do the procedure but they were already replaced. I may have heated it up as well. Let me know what you come up with!!

    Does anyone else remember Stewmac selling a tool for this years ago? I recall seeing it but never bought one. It kind of slipped over the post and provided some leverage to bend it.

    I do not recall that one. Knowing this place, it’s sitting in a drawer somewhere and no one knows what it’s for…
