Brand new Gibson Hummingbird with Wolf tones
A customer brought me a new Hummingbird with fret buzz a few weeks ago. After performing what may be the best levelling job I’ve ever done, the buzz was reduced, but still noticeable, though it sounded different than normal fret buzz. When I noticed that the sound was worst when playing F2 (on the A string or D string), I did a…

Im going to attach some photos of a 000-style guitar from Potomac(I believe an Eastman product) that has some top cracks and deformation around the neck block from what I assume to be a shift of the neck block. How do you all approach repairs like this. Im thinking that pulling the neck and somehow pushing the block back into place from the…

Does anyone offer repair of guitar cases? I’ve done a few and it’s kinda fun (traditional wooden cases only). With the prices of guitar cases going up, I’m wondering if there might be a market. They are less of a throw-away item at $200 per case. I’ve had three people ask in the past few weeks: Broken latch, missing handle, loose lining. …

Wiring Overhaul - Music Man Reflex Game Changer
Would you have any recommendations on wiring configurations and piezo controllers to replace the electronics in my Music Man Reflex, which used to have the Game Changer system? The guitar has an HSH pickup configuration with a piezo bridge pickup. It has three existing holes for Volume/Tone/Blend, a blade switch slot, and a 3-way switch…

Martin 0-16NY bridge dimensions
I need to replace the bridge on a Martin that previously suffered a bridge replacement with a big, unsanded, pre-made pyramid bridge.
The 1960s 0-16NY models had a straight bridge rather than a pyramid.
If anyone has access to one of these, could you please give me the dimensions of the original bridge?

Detached Wiring - Wire Hanger Enhancement
Hi Everyone,
I hope everyone is having a great weekend!
I have some wiring that has come loose in an acoustic guitar as the adhesive attached to the wire hangers has failed after about 1.5-2 years.
Normally I would just pop in new ones but I’m wondering if there is a stronger adhesive that can be added instead of just relying on the sticky tape…

Hey!
I have been working on repairing a d-18 that had a large hole in the side. I glued in a backer, cleaned up the edges and after a few attempts got a patch glued in and leveled. I have been testing finish on some scrap but am getting lost in the woods. In my tests I am doing most of the color in the grain fill. Does anyone have tips on how…

Hey all,
I have a Guild JF30 in my shop that needs some sizeable touchups. The goal is to get this looking better, not necessarily perfect. I’m not particularly good at refinish work and this guitar has some rather sizeable dings. Any general suggestions on getting this to look better? There are four major locations that I’m concerned with.…

Cracked Fingerboard Fill ? ('66 Jose Ramirez)
1966 Jose Ramirez 2A Flamenco with a split/cracked fingerboard. It’s been cracked for years, and is in stable condition at humidity.
Spans from 11/12th fret to the sound hole.
I’ve filled smaller splits/cracks with ebony dust and superglue, or black superglue in the past, and had great results.
Do any of you ever use ebony shavings to spline…

Pickguard template for a Gibson RD Artist ?
Does anyone have a template for the pickguard that goes on a Gibson RD Artist? It’s kind of its own thing. I can’t find one anywhere and I need to make one. I appreciate any guidance . Thanks in advance
