Early 60's J50 Gibson Saddle Removal
I have a J50 from the early 60’s that needs bridge re-glue. Has a wood bridge, but has a glued in saddle. Need to remove saddle to properly repair the bridge. Did these come with plastic or bone saddles. Hard to tell as it has yellowed. Was looking for advice on best removal method. Don’t want to melt it if it is plastic. Any feedback is appreciated.

If I am remembering correctly, those could have been those weird composite saddles. Like some kind of fiber/nylon or something.

Ian – Thanks for the offer of help. I got it out and got it fixed. It was some type of nylon plastic by the consistency. Thanks again.
