Oh wow! Those are some great prices! Thanks for sharing!
My pleasure Dave. The Looth Group has been pretty inspirational to me in this respect – so many folks sharing their knowledge unreservedly. And more to come, I’m sure
I’m excited to see GoodWinds pop up as a vendor here. They’re great. I’ve been buying their FWET (filament wound epoxy tubing) for a decade to use as cores for my flat pack spinning wheel bobbins (www.akerworks.com/collections/flat-pack-bobbins). I also source solid carbon fiber rod from them as shafts for our drop spindles and Lazy Kates. Anyway, they’ve been rock solid reliable. They’re a small outfit, brother-sister owned and operated, Leland often answers the phones.
They have various custom machining capabilities, for those makers who want to outsource the messier parts of composites work to a place set up to handle that stuff. Ask ’em!
Also: it was easy to set up a commercial account with them. For a pricing example, here’s the 0.187″x24″ fiberglass with and without my discount: $2.95 vs. $3.65 (I was going to past a screenshot showing the quantity discounting… but I’m not sure how 🙂
Just a heads up. The 3/16×24″ are now found in the clearance section. I just gobbled up 40, but there is should be plenty left for a few more looths.
