Favorite is when you push a guitar around while working, the guitar will push tools and parts you didn’t know were there into the slots instead of the guitar rolling over the pickguard screw and doing you know what. Also the slots will catch parts and tools preventing them from falling on the floor and being lost forever (that has saved many a tuner screw over the years). Hated is that I tend to let the slots fill with all kinds of random stuff and they become a mess (probably 50+ tuners screws in them by now). I made the ends of the slots sloped so it would be easy to wipe out sawdust or whatever other debauchery is found in there, seems to work well. I opted for pegboard on the sides instead of drawers because I have learned I’m not responsible enough to keep drawers organized and useable but I can be trusted to keep pegboard tools somewhat organized.

That looks super cool! Is that going to be a neck through design? I see maybe a truss rod slot at the heel. Definitely looks like a small neck pocket area. Curious what the neck pocket/neck attachment design looks like. I want to play it, looks light weight and fun.

I’m very tempted to purchase Vcarve. Would love to hear how it goes for y’all. I’m using the Fusion 360 free option at the moment. I’ve almost got a resonator neck cam’d in Fusion but dang it was hard, those necks are very complicated. It ended up being a 4 setup operation so I have to flip my stock 4 times in the machine. It’s like a puzzle figuring out which operation to start with and all the following ones. I have two 2×4’s glued together which will be my test resonator guitar neck blank. Fingers crossed.

Pretty good I think but I still have a long ways to go. My youngest son and I did get my spindle attached and wired and working. Going to cut some bronze resonator cover plates today and see how my first attempt at metal goes.

That is a fantastic video, I have so many questions but I’ll show some restraint. Did catalyst come to you to shoot video or did you just send them all the media and they assembled it?
