Thanks, Ian. Pretty sure the top is all opaque but I’ve also heard the yellow center is tv yellow. I’ll pick up the stewmac finishing book. Maybe it has a recipe in there.

The heel came off in two pieces and you added two dowels? Not sure what I’m seeing exactly. *EDIT: the dowels were in there already, ahhhh. Interesting.
Do these heel gaps necessitate a neck reset? The action is already quite low. Too low but the layer likes it that way. It’s the gaps that concern me which may have been from the factory or a previous neck reset. I’m VERY new to acoustics so I don’t want to attempt anything I haven’t done before on this. Would most of you pull and reset?
