No sweat Ian! I figured you would see this eventually and I’m moving
below snail pace on this. I picked up some of the gel ca and am gonna
use that on the bottom edge of the fingerboard first and see how I feel
about it. I had considered it before but was very worried about squeeze
out even with wax. I’ll post something when its all said and done. -

I did some testing with the canopy and Titebond Melamine glue. I’ve used a different melamine glue (roo glue) in the past and liked it.
The melamine and canopy glues both popped off.
Tried both with 80 grit scoring on the binding and that helped a lot. The canopy still came off after i got a fingernail on a lip. But the melamine glue i couldn’t easily pry or pop off. I’ll try the melamine glue if I end up uncomfortable with Ian’s suggestion of gel CA. -
Don’t have access to it right now unfortunately so I’m not sure.
