Thank you Tony!
For some reason those did not show up in my initial search. I did come across this before you posted those:

We’ll see how this goes…

Thank you both!
From what I can tell, it’ll be a time consuming pull but not a difficult joint. So that’s sounding fine by me.

Dang! Thank you!! I’ll pass that along

I know many of us have “opinions” about Ovations, but I have clients that love the heck out of their Ovations so its good to know theres a dude out there with the parts.

I’m on the same page. I’m comfortable with giving them the “truth”, just wondering if the PRS switch was capable. And yeah…..why with the non standard electronics PRS?

I have one in the shop right now, and I guess I will have to get the multimeter out to read the pot value. Assuming they are 500k since they are kinda sorta humbuckers?
I’ll update once I get the values.

I’d really appreciate that. Should I DM you for a time to do that?

Thank you Gerry.
That makes total sense once you break that down. For some reason my gut reaction was its a ground. But, obviously it is not.
For followup, client is having an Auricap .047 cap & Kiwame 180k resistor installed. Apparently its a good upgrade for a more even swipe. 🤷

Funny you mention that. I recall a Yamaha from years ago on my bench that did the same thing. Felt super loose, man this is great….WOULD NOT come loose without creative sawing.
Trust me,I will be in this thread with any sideways business.

Thank you Gerry! I found the exact one on Philadelphia Tools…cheaper!
Sidebar: I guess I’ll have to add this in the notes section of your book. Which is the BEST electronics book I’ve had. Thank you!
