I don’t know the specs to say for sure, but I bet you could find an “acoustical eye lag driver” or wing nut driver that might do it. Another option is cutting a slot through some appropriately sized all thread rod and use a jam nut to adjust it. Here’s some links for reference:

Superglue works well in my experience and holds up when being work. Here’s a video based on this repair we did at Dan’s shop.
I suspect hide glue is the “best” option tonally (if you’re into debates like that), given how it’s made. I’d would worry it might fail from any heat build up? Probably not any more likely than CA, but I’d be sus until proven otherwise.
