I have a question. I build Appalachian mountain Dulcimers and am starting to fiddle with violins. My question, would an arch top on a dulcimer be of any benefit for sound projection?

I know most of you guys and dolls build guitars, but I’m hoping someone my have a thought or two too share. It would be greatly appreciated!
