So I have a ‘58 D-18 in for a lifting bridge. Upon inspection I find a 1/2” dowel glued from side to side about an inch below the top right under the front of the bridge. Anyone have any experience removing a neck from an early ‘30’s Gibson L4? I’m having tons of trouble with this thing.

Could be that the top is over the dovetail. You ever run into that before ?

Who are your go-to suppliers for mother of pearl/abalone/paua etc.
I used Rescue Pearl a lot in the past but she is working toward retiring and doesn’t have much left.
