Thanks Ian – I take it you don’t think epoxy and splines will hold? Is there anything that can be done to cover carbon fiber or is it just visually apparent?

I can only offer anecdotal, but I’ve also had a couple overset Gibsons from 2010-2019 with crazy high saddles and low action. I guess it future proofs the build a bit, but sacrifices some tonal range for the first *checks notes* 20 years.

Hey!
So I’ve got a customer who has dropped off with me one of the nastier headstock breaks I’ve seen in recent memory.
There is excess glue of some sort (rock hard, clear) all inside the break, along with the threaded tracks of the screws.
I’d usually just recommend a replacement neck in this case, but the customer is desperate to keep this…

Taylor crack repair - Finish touch up guidance please!
Hi there looths,
Hoping you guys can help me identify what uv resin or other compatible finish can be used to finish this crack? I’m comfortable true-ing up the material and gluing, however I’ve only really done nitro or polyurethane finish touch up.
