An accessory for a Gerry Hayes String Spreader for use on acoustic guitars. The String Spreaders are found here: https://dev.loothgroup.com/loothprint/string-spreaders/.

I started using these as soon as Gerry made the prints available, but I was sometimes bumping into the string spreader and making it pop off. I also thought it would be nice to keep the strings lower when working on frets.

The spreader clip is glued onto the large string spreader with CA glue. In the picture you can see I added clear packing tape to the bottom of the string spreader to protect the guitar top, and some thin cork to the clip to keep it snug on the back edge of the sound hole. I’m using Gerry’s large spreader here – Sting Spreader – Large.stl
