About the LoothPrint

This template is designed for routing pickup cavities and is fully parametric in Fusion 360, allowing you to adjust the dimensions to match the specific pickups you’re working with. The file includes a test ring body that you can export to test the fit before routing. I recommend using radius corner gauges to determine the correct corner radius in the model for a precise fit.

To attach the template securely to the guitar, I recommend using Danny West Tape (Intertape). A link to purchase this tape will be included in the file listing.

Instructions for Adjusting Parameters in Fusion 360

1. Open Fusion 360: Launch the application on your computer.
2. Open the Design File: Click on the “File” menu in the top-left corner, select “Open,” and choose the Parametric Pickup Routing Template design file.
3. Access Parameters:
   • Click on the “Modify” dropdown in the toolbar.
   • Select “Change Parameters.”
4. Adjust Parameters:
   • In the parameters dialog, you will see options to modify the length, width, depth, and corner radius of the pickup cavity.
   • Adjust the values to match your pickup’s dimensions.
5. Test the Fit:
   • Export the test ring body by selecting it in the model, right-clicking, and choosing “Save As Mesh” or “Export.”
   • Print the test ring to confirm the fit before routing.
6. Export the Template:
   • If the test ring fits your pickup, select the body labeled “Template” in the design file.
   • Right-click the body, choose “Save As Mesh” or “Export,” and save it in your preferred format for 3D printing.
7. Attach to the Guitar:
   • Use Danny West Tape to securely attach the routing template to your guitar’s surface.
   • Ensure the tape provides a strong hold without damaging the finish.
8. Save Your Design: Save the modified template by clicking on “File” and selecting “Save.”
