After realizing I placed 3 magnets with the wrong polarity orientation in the gridfinity base I decided to print out this placement tool to ensure the same polarity for all magnets.
To get the magnet loaded in I just took two that were together and pushed them into the hole.
And just in case you’ve found yourself in a similar situation, it took me a hot minute to figure out how to deal with the backwards magnets. I just drilled it out from the back with a small bit.
