Similarly to the Jessem router design, the idea is to have the router venting air stream not interfere with the dust collection going in the opposite direction. Priorly top oriented vent is directed sideways. Side-benefit of chips/debris from the tabletop not falling into the motor. Use something heat resistant and rugged. I used ASA-CF, worked out fine. Installation very easy and self-explanatory.
