I didn’t realize how much I would enjoy putting together my own instrument! This tenor ukulele kit from StewMac was my first acoustic instrument build. Not long after this picture was taken, it was apart again to swap the nut and saddle for black bone.
I’m now looking for the wood and parts to do my first “scratch” build. I’m thinking either cutaway ukulele or stick dulcimer next. Either way, it will be my first time bending sides, so I’m excited for that.
I’m looking forward to learning a lot and developing my skills in this group.
