TR Crandall is always worth a look.

Was just there last week. Wife’s a Manhattanite. So great to walk around and simply people watch. Being new to this game, I wanted to interview someone who’s been at this for a long time. Wanted to know why people stick with the arcane and obscure and toil in it and keep going. People like Ian and Dan, Doug et, al. So I visited and had a great talk with Rich Kelly at Carmine St. Guitars. He and that shop are definitely NYC and his recycling NYC history through guitars is cool. Also! As a side note, the stringed instrument section at the MET. The Strad’s are awesome……And if you haven’t been to the MET, you have to go! I go just to check out “Gulfstream” by Winslow Homer every time I’m in NYC. Homer’s an East Coastie as well and represents!
