This might be useful for you, but use at your own risk. Since the fractal press is not grooved, it could slip sideways off the fret and dent the fretboard. That would make for a bad day. I’m sure Jerame Edwards did not intend for his press to have impact loads, but I haven’t seen any damage on mine. Of course I make sure the fret slot is the correct size for the fret tang to avoid having to use a 2 lb sledge hammer. That said, I’m sure this application of the Fractal Fret Press voids all warranties. These presses represent a significant tool investment so use with caution and understand the risks you are assuming.

You will need to enlarge the hole in the Arbor handle to 3/8″ to accommodate the shaft of the Fractal Press.
